GTfusion Round 6 ( The Final )
The time has come to conclude our 12th edition of the GTfusiOn Gran Turismo World Team Championship.
When most people think of car racing, their thoughts are focused on speed, fierce competition and the thrill of sport. However, for Michael Luzich, businessman and manager of a Swiss/ American team, his love of racing is entirely consistent with his commitment in his commercial companies, always with the goal of staying «ahead of the curve».
Like his long history as a successful international businessman, Mr. Luzich views his success in motor racing as an intellectual quest and an attempt to “defy the laws of physics”. Mr. Luzich’s interest in the motor racing spans several decades and has evolved in parallel with his success as an international investor. As his interest in the sport increased, his involvement in the formal race also increased, especially in Europe.
As a driver and more recently as the owner of Luzich Racing Ltd., Mr. Luzich has achieved considerable success in the sport; most importantly, during his debut in the 2019 Le Mans Series, winning the European Le Mans Series in the GTE category at Spa-Francorchamps. This victory marked the second consecutive major title for Luzich Racing, after winning the 2018 International GT Open Championship. Although he sees racing as both an intellectual and physical challenge, Mr. Luzich has never been immune to the visceral excitement of motor racing.
For our final, we will remember the epic battle of the 2019 title. This superb victory at 4h in Barcelona on the hyper technical circuit of Catalunya.
Indeed, the #51 Luzich Racing Ferrari 488 GTE literally dominated the LMGTE category, with Alesendro Pier Guidi, Nicklas Nielsen, Fabien Lavergne as the winning crew. At the end of this fantastic 2019 season, with four victories, Luzich Racing Ltd received its precious sesame for a golden ticket to participate in the 24H of Le Mans 2020 and at the same time became the fifth team in the category to secure this participation.
As you can see, our GTfusiOn will be held in Spain, in the Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 ’13 on the weekend of November 20, 2020.
